Sin Ter May was established in 1983, and is today a widely recognized name in the Asian gold industry, having won many prestigious industry accolades, namely for design innovativeness. Our beginnings, however, were humble. It all began in 1975, when our company's founder, Ho Kong Chye, began harbouring aspirations of becoming a master jeweller. To realize his dream, he travelled to Singapore to develop the necessary skills. After learning all he needed to know, he returned to Malaysia, and began earning a living by setting diamonds. He did this for years, further refining his skills in the process. He managed to save up enough to start a small factory to broaden his business. Mr. Ho also lived in his little factory - he could not stand being away from his craft. He continued pouring his passion into every piece of jewellery he made, and not long after that, all his hard work paid off. He officially registered his business in 1994, naming his company Sin Ter May Sdn Bhd. Always at the forefront of jewellery trends. Sin Ter May's current focus is on creating timeless gold jewellery. Every item that bears our name is in line with the most current jewellery trends, and we ensure this by always keeping a pulse on jewellery designs from all over the world, most notably countries like Turkey, Germany and Italy.
